Nomad Health wants everyone to be able to use this website and our patient portal, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or magnification. This page says what we do about that, what we know still falls short, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
1. The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA on mynomadhealth.com and in the patient portal. These guidelines are the standard courts and regulators refer to under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
2. What we have done
- Pages are built with headings, landmarks, labelled forms, and text that scales, so they read in order with a screen reader and work with the keyboard alone.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and background colors on the site were measured against the WCAG contrast minimums; body text, dimmed text, and links all exceed the 4.5 to 1 ratio Level AA requires.
- Nothing plays sound or moves on its own, and motion effects respect your device’s reduce-motion setting.
- We check the public pages with an automated accessibility checker (axe-core) and fix what it finds. The most recent check, on October 11, 2026, found no WCAG 2.1 A or AA failures on the home, pre-op, and legal pages.
3. What we know is not perfect yet
- Documents we generate as PDF (invoices, letters, forms) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the same information another way.
- Payment is handled on a secure page provided by our card processor, and video visits run in your browser. Those screens are built by their vendors; we pass along any problems you report.
4. If something does not work for you
Tell us. Call (305) 680-0566 or email info@mynomadhealth.com and describe the page and what happened. We will help you complete what you were trying to do by phone or in person, provide information in an alternative format on request, and fix the problem on the site.
5. Keeping this current
We review this statement whenever the site changes in a way that affects how it is used, and at least once a year. The date at the top is the last review.
